Dynasty Esports closes oversubscribed pre-IPO fundraising round, targets ASX listing within 12 months

DYNASTY ESPORTS (“Dynasty”) is pleased to announce that it has raised US$5M (approximately SG$6.7M) by way of an oversubscribed pre-IPO fundraising round that values the company at US$50M (approximately SG$67M).

Existing shareholders including the UK’s Bluestar Capital, Canada’s Pioneer Media Holdings, and several high-profile Australian investors, were joined in the round by new Dynasty investors that include Alium Capital and Mike Alexander.

Alium Capital is a Sydney-based 5-year-oldfund that focuses on pre-IPO investments with a particular bias towards the technology sector, while Mike Alexander enjoyed a stellar corporate career in investment banking spanning more than 30 years across Australia, New York, and Hong Kong, with the last 8 years as CEO of Jefferies for Asia. Since retiring from his full-time corporate career, Mike has focussed on his own family office and PE investments, and among many notable successes was a seed investor and strategic advisor at Block.one, which had revenues of more than US$4 billion in its first year of operation.

Dynasty intends to use the proceeds from this raise to further develop our world leading EPM Platform and overall technology solution, while continuing to grow the team to support product and partner delivery at scale and optimal execution of our managed service offering. Key areas of focus for the company will be enhanced player personalisation, games publishing, rights management and the use of AI to support an automated experience in coaching and media creation.

Dynasty intends to IPO on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) within the next 12 months and does not anticipate needing to raise additional funds ahead of the planned listing.

Alium Capital said: “We have been looking for some time for exposure into the booming esports sector but had struggled to find the right fit, both from a scale & experience perspective. From our first meeting with the Dynasty team, we recognised that they had created the world’s best B2B Platform solution. From a monetisation standpoint, we feel confident that the team has very strong capability via their strong Telco backgrounds to build out an end-to-end solution, in order to create national gaming ecosystems. We are very excited about Dynasty’s sales pipeline, future global roll-out, and are impressed with their ability to sign-up quality commercial partnership Agreements so quickly.”

Mike Alexander said: “I am really excited to be a shareholder of Dynasty as they expand their gaming ecosystem proposition with New Media and Crypto technology. I look forward to working with the team and providing ongoing strategic advice and support as they build out their offering in the blockchain space.”

Derek Lew, CEO of Bluestar Capital said: “We are very pleased to be a founding investor in Dynasty, and to have worked with the Dynasty team over the past 3 funding rounds. The business continues to go from strength to strength and we believe it has an extremely bright future as the need for Dynasty’s platform solution further increases with esports’ continued global expansion."

Matt Lodge, Co-Founder / CEO of Dynasty said: “Once again we are delighted by the incredibly enthusiastic feedback we received during this short fundraising process. With most of our existing shareholders increasing their investments and some prestigious new investors coming into the business, it provides solid confirmation of our team, product, and strategy. We look forward to executing extremely well with our partners around the world and delivering way beyond everyone’s expectations as we head towards an ASX listing.”
